EGYPT: Asec Cement Delays Syria Plant Because of Turmoil, Al Mal Says



Asec Cement, owned by private- equity firm Citadel Capital SAE (CCAP), has delayed construction of a factory in Syria because of the political unrest there, Al Mal reported, citing Tamer Yakout, Asec’s director of business development.

The planned factory would have annual production capacity of 1.5 million tons, according to the Cairo-based newspaper.
