AFRICA: Luanda: Cement factory to increase production next year

Luanda - New Cimangola cement factory  foresees to increase its production to 1.8 million tons, as from January 2011, with the functioning of a new mill, on Thursday here announced the head of the commercial division, Carla Marina Graça.

"This year, the factory intends to produce 1.2 million tons of Portland cement for the national market, he said, adding that the production for 2010 is part of an efficient model of management that the firm has been implementing.

Carla Graça, that was speaking at the inaugural ceremony of the International Fair of Construction dubbed Constroi Angola 2010, said the factory wants to reach a production of three million tons in 2013, with the functioning of a new oven.

At least 315 national and foreign firms are participating in the 8th edition of the mentioned fair that is to end on Sunday.
