IRAN: Major cement factory opened in northeastern Iran


TEHRAN -- Jovein Cement Factory, one of the largest cement producing units in Iran, officially came on stream in Khorasan Razavi province on Sunday. 

The factory has the capacity to produce 4,000 tons of gray cement per day. 

The unit was implemented at the cost of 1,360 billion rials and 23 million euros over the course of three years. 

The factory is expected to create 400 direct and 1,900 indirect job opportunities. 

Germany and Denmark have provided the factory’s equipments.
