Iran produced 30,800,000 tonnes of cement in the first six months of the current Iranian calendar year (ended September 22), Tehran Times has reported. The amount represents an 18% increase in comparison to the previous years' figure. During the Iranian Month of Shahrivar (August 23-September 22) some 5,600,000 tonnes of cement were produced, 23 % more than the same period last year.
